Vaccines are a proven, safe and powerful weapon in our battle against COVID-19. Now that vaccines are widely available and recognizing that many of our staff are already vaccinated, vaccination will be a condition of employment for new hires, except when impossible due to legitimate, established exceptions. The vaccine must be a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series approved by Health Canada. This is one more important step to protect both our residents and staff as we continue to battle this deadly virus.

Reporting to the Director of IT Strategic Initiatives, the Project Manager will work in a dynamic environment and play a lead role on strategic projects. This role will utilize project delivery practices, change management principles and process design methods to drive value and results for our business.

Key Outcomes                      

  • Development, management and implementation of the project plan

  • Building and maintaining effective partnerships with leaders, stakeholders and project team members

  • Engaging the business leaders to drive timely key decision making

  • Facilitation, design and recommendation of process improvements

  • Delivery of solutions, measuring effectiveness and advancing the IT mission as business enabler


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and successfully deliver the IT projects on time and within budget

  • Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders

  • Prepare project documentation including project charter, project plan, work breakdown estimates, solution design and other project related activities and ensure review, approval and sign-off by the project sponsor and key stakeholders

  • Be the primary liaison between project stakeholders, contributors and steering committees. Regularly communicate project status, tasks, milestones, challenges, risks and changes to all team members using appropriate project management documentation

  • Guide/enable team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

  • Follow change management procedures and ensure proper transition to users of new or enhanced solutions

  • Conduct lessons learned sessions upon completion of project


Required Education, Credentials and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management leading significant technology and business projects

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage and interact effectively with all levels of management

  • Experience with user impact assessment and change management

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to details

  • Knowledge and experience with the implementation of technology solutions including applications and integrations, network and resident safety systems.
