The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for bringing brand standards and art direction excellence to the development of creative concepts, graphics designs and layouts as required for the organization. This position requires the ability to interpret marketing requests, collaborate with Marketing Managers, and develop creative concepts and designs that meet brand standards as well as the internal client's objectives required to in support of cross-functional team objectives. As a trusted and experienced practitioner, you will provide both clients, agency and team members with clear counsel and guidance, laying down strategic direction based on your expertise and knowledge of the fundamentals of design coupled with the latest design trends.
Revera’s branded material is compellingly designed and meets brand and high visual art direction standards;
Revera’s visual brand standards are consistently incorporated into all marketing collateral and official documents and templates;
Marketing and branding strategies are translated into innovative and impressive visual assets that stimulate targeted audiences; and
Branded assets/collateral are developed/updated/evolved in line with the changing brand while consistently delivering high impact.
Maintain a creative environment that inspires Company values while encouraging team development through inclusion, open communication, and collaboration;
Provide insight, advice and assess impact for brand aspects of advertising/media campaigns/assets, capital signage, etc.;
Collaborate with partners (e.g. corporate, operations, sales, communications, agency) on visual design of new branded collateral;
Act as brand steward, ambassador and champion with respect to holding others accountable to the established brand and visual standard;
Collaborate on projects with Marketing Managers as required;
Maintain a schedule of projects to ensure deadlines are met;
Create graphic designs and creative design concepts for print and other media, while maintaining brand standards, including: print ads, brochures, merchandise, signage, etc.;
Provide trusted brand advisory by helping create new tools, executing campaigns, photography selection, grand opening materials and overall aesthetics;
Photo editing and retouching for use in print and / or web;
Proof / review work, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established design standards;
Work with other members of the Marketing Team and Revera departments to help with project’s needs and provide creative solutions;
Lead art direction for various projects;
Work with strategy and development teams to ensure smooth transitions throughout various projects;
Create ideas, concepts, and designs for innovative ad experiences in line with Revera’s brand;
Create briefs and execute on-brand design solutions for advertising campaigns that meet measurable business goals and requirements;
Plan and conduct photoshoots based on the yearly budget and marketing requirements including ideation / art direction, planning, coordination with vendors and photographers, prop styling, and execution on the day of the shoot;
Continuous learning and development of contemporary and evolving graphic design techniques, with an expectation to stay on top of graphic design trends;
Develop and lead discussions around brand and design initiatives (this includes creative brainstorming, focus groups, presenting concepts, gathering content ideas for videos / photography, etc.;
Provide vision and art direction to propel the brand forward and meets the needs of the business;
Provide video / photo art direction as required;
Uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera’s Code of Conduct; and
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Credentials and Experience:
Proven experience working in a marketing, branding, or advertising role in a corporate environment or related agency;
Professional experience in digital design, with an emphasis on presentation decks, branded campaigns and working in-house or an agency on a range of marketing materials;
Proficient use of graphics software on Mac platform: Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Office;
Experience with video editing & working knowledge of motion graphics i.e. After Effects and Premiere Pro;
Ability to grasp multiple design requirements with careful attention to detail;
Self-motivated with ability to make design decisions quickly and confidently with regards to composition, layout, hierarchy, colour and typography;
Deep understanding of the digital space and responsive design;
Outstanding aesthetic sensibilities and solid understanding of storytelling, layout, typography and design principles;
Knowledge of CSS and HTML would be a plus;
Basic knowledge of UI/UX principles;
General knowledge of AODA compliance in design and digital;
Excellent copywriting and communication skills;
Experienced in photography and techniques;
Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail;
Comfortable presenting creative concepts to clients and stakeholders;
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities against tight timelines; and
Flexible and able to adjust to shifting priorities.
