The Opportunity

Jump in and join our collaborative team to select, evaluate and manage vendor partnerships.  Using your relationships with vendors and data analytics, solve problems and achieve business goals that drive incremental value for Revera. Develop strong relationships with key contacts at all levels of the organization and anticipate client needs. Act as an ambassador for the 7 Steps Strategic Sourcing Process implementation across assigned categories.

In this role you will be focused on:

  • Managing the supplier selection strategy (RFI, RFP) for a specific commodity under defined timelines while ensuring quantifiable results/savings;

  • Driving the categories sourcing strategy for assigned categories;

  • Managing and executing 7 Steps Strategic Sourcing Process from end of end from industry research and market scan, through selection process to final negotiation; and

  • Negotiating best cost/value and terms for Revera with suppliers across Canada.

What You Will Do:

Evaluate – sourcing procedures and manage improvement strategies for assigned categories; evaluate supplier’s core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models;

Develop – analyze and calculate procurements costs and develop a cost reduction strategy;

Negotiate – contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service and quality and ensure they comply with our overall procurement strategy;

Analyze – industry trends, suppliers market dynamics at regional, national and global level and recommend best suppliers based on findings;

Conduct - market research programs related to assigned categories, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts;

Manage – team training and the 7 Steps Strategic Sourcing Process;

Maintain relationships - with suppliers and vendors regarding costs, quality, quantity and delivery of goods purchased as identified through key stakeholders;

Identify - strategic partners, build sourcing strategies, lead complex and critical negotiations and deliver improved products and lower costs to the business;

Support – the development and execution of the department’s long terms plans, mission and vision;

Compliance – monitor & manage risk and compliance with procurement policies and processes; and

Ongoing learning - stay abreast of supply market trends, supplier economics, and best practices in sourcing and contract management.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing

  • Business Degree or equivalent education and experience

  • Previous experience in the health care/hospitality/real estate/retail industry is an asset

  • Resourceful self-starter with strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong knowledge on 7 Steps Strategic Sourcing Process

  • Technical knowledge of commodities purchased and key cost drivers

  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and with a sense of urgency

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentations
