The Opportunity
You will be at the forefront of best-in-class technology and cybersecurity solutions where a strategic mindset combined with a hands-on style will make the most of your day. You will be responsible for a broad set of critical technology and cyber security solutions and services. The primary goal of this role is to ensure a progressive, modern, and secure hybrid cloud technology stack is delivering efficient and functional services across the Revera Support offices, business divisions, homes, and communities.
In this role you will be focused on:
Defining and implementing architectural, operational and cybersecurity standards and services across enterprise hybrid cloud infrastructure and application platforms.
Proactively engaging with internal technology cybersecurity and application leadership, IT domain subject matter experts, business stakeholders and 3rd party vendors as part of a collaborative effort maintain and adopt best in class cloud solutions and services.
Advising and mentoring team members on operational excellence in the technology and cybersecurity space
What You Will Do:
Leadership & Strategy - Demonstrates leadership in advising, improving, implementing, enforcing, and supporting a best-in-class hybrid cloud Infrastructure and cybersecurity technology solution stack. Leads and participates in migration efforts as part of delivery programs that migrate on premise infrastructure to the cloud. Develops, documents, and communicates strategies, roadmaps, vision statements, business cases, architectural renderings, standards, and policies that supports good decision making and aligned with the strategic vision and operational needs
Communications - Maintains a highly collaborative and inclusive approach, engaging IT leadership and cross functional technology domain experts to ensure outcomes align with tactical and strategic goals. Working with Business Relationship Managers, acquires, interprets, and translates business requirements into actionable short-term tactical or strategic initiatives. Effectively engages with 3rd party vendors for new technology evaluation and acquisition, to maintain service level expectations and preserve reciprocal working relationships. Ability to communicate complex technology related subjects across many levels of both business and IT audiences all while being thoughtful, targeted, timely and informative. Development and communication of key performance and risk indicators through dashboard style reporting.
Action oriented expert - The action-oriented role performs frequent hands-on configuration, integration and programing activities involving highly complex hybrid cloud technology, security tools, infrastructure, and application platforms. Act as a subject matter expert in a broad set of technology infrastructure and cybersecurity domains. Continues to be well informed on technology and cybersecurity enhancements, trends, advisories, and threats directly related to the existing technology and cybersecurity stack or the senior’s healthcare industry. Maintains an influential and credible understanding of business, healthcare, technology and cybersecurity trends, standards, frameworks, and regulation through on the job, online and in person research, training, and networking opportunities.
Operational Excellence - Develop and support tactics, techniques and procedures used by the Security Operations Centre (SOC) in monitoring, detection, response and reporting of Cybersecurity incidents. Analyze complex incidents to determine their root cause. Acts as an expert level consultant when engaged in operational support activities. Embraces knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training opportunities across the team with a goal to reduce operational dependencies and improve continuity of services.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
3+ recent years of employment where IT Security was an integral part of the role
10+ years overall employment supporting and implementing technology Infrastructure solutions which included hybrid cloud architectures
Professional experience with the Microsoft ecosystem of on premise and cloud infrastructure and identity solutions including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, MS Exchange Online, Office 365 administration, Group Policy and PowerShell.
Professional experience with foundational IT Infrastructure components including Windows Server and desktop, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS and Wi-Fi
Professional experience with the Microsoft Azure security and M365 Defender Security stack, preferably working experience with cloud security solutions such as CASB, SASE, EDR/XDR, MDM, DLP, SIEM, SSO, MFA, PIM and email security.
What else would be great to have:
Experience with IAM/IAG solutions such as SailPoint or Saviynt considered an asset
Experience with Azure IaaS administration considered a strong asset
Cloud infrastructure certifications in Azure preferred, Google or AWS considered assets
Security certifications including CISSP, SSCP, CSX-P, ITCA, GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, CEH, CompTIA Security+, and OSCP are all considered assets
Familiar with security and audit frameworks and methodologies including NIST, Zero Trust and Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX); CIS, SOC 1 and SOC2, OWASP
Familiar with healthcare standards such as HIPPA and PIPEDA,
Experience participating in requirement gathering sessions with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of all aspects of IT, including applications, integrations, data handling, customer support and operations.
Comfortable with early technology adoption, managing change and risk, working in a fast paced, time-sensitive environments and inspiring others to do the same.
Ability to document and communicate complex, technical concepts to executive staff, business sponsors and technical resources in simple terms using the English language
Strong sense of curiosity, naturally suspicious, methodical, and risk-based thinker
