The Application Specialist is responsible to partner closely with our key business partners and ensure our corporate applications are meeting the business needs and performing as expected. The Application Specialist serves as the subject matter expert and leads initiatives that improve application functionality and business process that result in high business value.

To manage, maintain and support the business applications on a daily basis to ensure our corporate applications are meeting the business needs (SLAs) and performing as required;
To lead and/or participate in projects as a technical subject matter expert;
To provide second-tier support to business users, resolve issues, and escalate when necessary;
To improve first-tier support services through training, documentation, and regular communication with our first-tier support team;
To recommend technical and process improvements based on current and future projections for application architecture, integrations, and business needs;
To engage regularly with the business to ensure understanding of specific Corporate & LOB needs with respect to systems/applications;
To liaise between external vendors, internal stakeholders and customers to maximize the functionality of applications;
To review product upgrade release notes for enterprise applications, recommending changes for improvement as needed;
To support organizational audit and governance processes with documentation and application walkthroughs;
To participate in vendor management and vendor relations;
To assist with reporting, data extract requests, and data management;
To uphold and promote the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera's Code of Conduct;
To complete all other tasks as assigned.
Required Education, Credentials and Experience:
Post-secondary specialized IT degree, diploma, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in a directly related position,
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Participate as a strong, collaborative team player
Comfortable presenting ideas to stakeholders and leading group meetings
Excellent organization skills, proven analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities
Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities
Ability to balance the workload of day-to-day support and multiple projects, and manage stakeholder expectations
Experience working in and supporting an enterprise Windows environment
Experience working with SQL Server databases, queries, and integrations
Experience supporting system integrations
Experience working with Yardi or PointClickCare would be considered an asset
